Mellissa Fernandez
Corporate Controller

Ms. Fernandez has over 20 years experience in accounting and real estate development.  She is able to assist Elm Street Management’s clients in running all aspects of an accounting department. Prior to Monarch Title, she worked at Walnut Street Development for six years, where she was responsible for not only specific controller functions, but operations, as well.  She has also served as the head of the Accounts Payable Department for Sunrise Senior Living, where she focused on finance processes and project costs. She attended Northern Virginia Community College.

Alissa Haksar
Chief Human Resources Officer

Ms. Haksar’s professional HR experience in both the non-profit and private sectors, including the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Georgetown University , Spaulding & Slye Colliers, and Monarch Title, Inc. has resulted in expertise in all aspects of HR, including recruitment, benefits administration, compensation, employee relations, training, compliance and HRIS. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from Brandeis University, a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Management from Emmanuel College, and also received a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation from the Society for Human Resource Management.

Darnell Morris
Financial Analyst

Mr. Morris has over 30 years in the accounting and financial management field that includes 24 years in financial management positions with a major telephone service provider. Additional expertise includes experience with a Big 4 accounting firm. Background includes extensive data compilation and analysis, business case reviews, financial analyses, and budget reviews. He has performed Controller duties for company subsidiary with $60 million annual budget. Expertise includes monitoring expenditures, cost plus contracts and on-site vendor audits, preparing financial reports, due diligence, and revenue retention. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and MBA from the University of Richmond. Mr. Morris has been a practicing CPA since 1979.

Stuart Orns
Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Orns has served in executive, operational and communication roles for top companies in the printing, digital media, advertising and real estate industries. Backed by extensive knowledge of business operations and communication strategies, his entrepreneurial thinking shows in his innovative and strategic business plans. His expertise in developing operational efficiencies, business partner synergies, and creatively sourcing new business were showcased in his championing the early adoption of digital technologies, as well as in successes in growing real estate companies. Mr. Orns earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Melvyn Rexrode
Director of IT Special Projects

Mr. Rexrode has served in the IT field for over 14 years with a firm governing the municipal bond market. During this time Melvyn served many roles from Operations Support, Systems Administration and as a Network Engineer. Before joining Elm Street Management his last position was the Director of IT Infrastructure where he was responsible for 3 data centers, security, strategic planning, budgeting, and user support. He continues to upgrade his technical expertise through training and college courses and is currently enrolled at Strayer University.

Rowland School
Desktop Support Specialist

Mr. School was a support technician with a financial regulation organization for 7 years before joining the Elm Street Management team. He has experience in several areas of the Information Technology field from planning and executing end user equipment deployments to user support / staff training and server administration. He is also a COMPTIA A+ certified computer technician.

Eduardo Yus
Director of IT Services

Mr. Yus brings close to 25 years of broad-based IT experience to Elm Street Management.  His areas of expertise include physical infrastructure, networking, fault detection and correction, project planning, IT procurement and telecommunications. Mr. Yus has worked in cabling, network services and real estate companies. Before joining Elm Street Management, he was a successful IT Consultant with a variety of engagements at diverse client sites. He attended American University and a wide range of technical training courses. Mr. Yus is fully bilingual (Spanish).
